Platform Status Quo, a collaborative of young academics interested in gender and sexuality, has invited Jennifer to create a special 2-day workshop in Amsterdam during Gay Pride Week to help people tap into their hidden fantasies and desires and express them through art. Called Ontdek Je Perversies! (Discover Your Perversions!), Jennifer will lead the small group with an emphasis on creating a safe, comfortable, and creative environment. All orientations and gender identities are, of course, welcome. Art materials and drinks (thank heavens) are included.
Bonus: You can use the workshop as a great excuse to meet people during Pride! E.g. “Hey, can I photograph you for the art project I’m making for tonight’s workshop?”
Many filmclips will be shown, including clips from Jennifer’s own erotic movies.

Announcement: Gay Pride Two-evening workshop “Step out of the box, discover your perversions!”
How many times do you have to explain that you don’t fall for every man or woman? Being either gay or straight seems like an obvious distinction, but in practice, do these sexual identity boxes really represent how you feel, fantasize or act? Are there other ways of visualizing or expressing your sexual preferences? Together with you, Platform Status Quo (a young student organization) will target these questions during a two-day workshop in which you can express your own perversions in film, photography, poetry and many other art forms!
The concept “perversions” helps us overcome the limits of gay and straight identities, because sexual preferences regarding specific body parts, materials, objects or situations are not limited to one gender or sexual identity. Consequently, we understand perversions in the broadest ways possible and try to surpass existing BDSM or psychiatric connotations.
During the two evenings of the workshop, erotic filmmaker Jennifer Lyon Bell will discuss the themes of perversion and will help you discover or express your own perversions creatively. In the shop of Mail & Female, we will create an intimate and playful atmosphere, in which everyone can work with their own fantasies, ideas and preferences, no matter how soft or hard. You are enabled to work with photography, film, paint, poetry and other media to create and shape your own perversion.
After the creative workshops, the results will be made available for a public exhibition until the end of the Gay Pride 2011 at Plantage Muidergracht 101H (Amsterdam).
