BECOMING is a fluid bubble full of depth. In this Friday evening series, CC Amstel & Rikkert van Huisstede give a different queer perspective on identity and sexuality every edition. Immerse yourself in intimacy, party, sensuality, dialogue, art and glitter! At BECOMING, more is better, vulnerability is strength, party is depth and everyone is queer!
A Horny Feminist – the event
This evening is composed in collaboration with wildly popular podcast DAMN, HONEY (featuring Marie Lotte Hagen and Nydia van Voorthuizen) and Sexual Welfare Netherlands (Seksueel Welzijn Nederland).
This is sexual freedom from a horny and feminist perspective. On this evening we free ourselves from taboos and slut shaming. We want to close the orgasm gap and thus combat sexual inequality. And we want consent: always! We role-play and we watch ethical porn. At least, if you feel like it, because: knowing for yourself, always knowing for yourself.

DAMN, HONEY, is the feminist platform of Marie Lotte Hagen and Nydia van Voorthuizen. These feminist influencers write books and release a podcast every two weeks about fast fashion, being fat, the menstrual cycle, breasts, ablism, cat calling, women in politics, sports and art, non-motherhood, sexual pleasure, the history of Dutch women’s movement, autism, heteronormativity, porn, abortion and more.

Sexual Welfare Netherlands (Seksueel Welzijn Nederland: Ellen Laan conducted groundbreaking research into women’s sexual health. She founded Sexual Welfare Netherlands, an organization that promotes sexual equality and pleasure. They previously introduced their campaign Know your Clit in CC Amstel. Rikkert van Huisstede is working on their new campaign Ken je Pik.

CC Amstel is a cultural clubhouse in Amsterdam where meetings take place and worlds are enriched. With 200 activities every year, from theater performances, workshops and lectures to exhibitions and theater coaching. Divided over the program lines active citizenship, youth, young people, circus and dance. Every day we get up and shovel our quarters again, with a spoon, in the theater. We are building the primordial soup where the imagination arises, where the social becomes important. In CC Amstel we mix performing arts with friends and neighbours: the fluffy talent and the nail-sharp, the bang-splash-boom talent and the slipper talent.
