CineKink hosts Jennifer’s From Fantasy To Film workshop
I’m pleased that one of my longtime favorite film festivals, CineKink/NY, is continuing to offer my popular personal exploration workshop “From Fantasy To Film: Design Your Own Erotic Movie” in a virtual version!
I have taught it at many real-life editions of CineKink in New York. The one benefit of an online film festival is that it can be so inclusive of guests around the world, which is great. We selected a time that should work comfortably for USA West coat, USA East coast, and Europe, where I live (Amsterdam).

This is a rare chance to explore your feelings about sexuality — through the lens of erotic film and porn.
In this 2-hour Zoom workshop designed to put you in touch with your own creative desires, we’ll help you plan the one perfect sexy film you’d make if money and reality were no object! In this workshop, award-winning filmmaker Jennifer Lyon Bell of Blue Artichoke Films (Netherlands/USA) gives you tons of ideas and provides a safe, supportive environment to talk and think about what you most desire.
1. Erotic exploration
What turns you on? Working from your own organic desires, Jennifer will give you private exercises to tweak your erotic imagination and help you decide what you’d personally love to see on film, no matter how soft or hard, kinky or vanilla.
2. Translating to film
Jennifer will show you many erotic/porn genres and styles to help you choose how you want express your idea. Maybe you’ll even come up with something new. You’ll make your own storyboard to keep.
3. Tips and tricks
Jennifer is an erotic filmmaker herself, and has also heard the inside scoop from lots of other erotic directors about techniques and approaches. She can provide practical general strategies as well as suggestions customized for each participant’s idea
All genders and all kinks are welcome. Naturally, filmmaking and/or porn-watching experience are not required! Much of the writing/exercises are private, and then we will be sharing our favorite ideas in small groups. You are welcome to disclose only your first name or a pseudonym for extra privacy. You’ll receive a Zoom link a few days before the workshop.
