Fleshbot praises Matinée as “Golden Era quality”

By Jennifer Lyon Bell

"Bell would have been right at home with the ancient (1970s) pornographers like Gerard Damiano and Jackie Treehorn. Her 'Matinée' is a high-concept and beautifully shot interlude about feelings and the artist's process."

Gram Ponante, “America’s porn reviewer”, gives a huge thumbs-up review to Jennifer Lyon Bell’s film Matinée in today’s Fleshbot.

Fleshbot is one of the premiere adult blog sites, one we like for a lot of reasons — it’s witty, it’s female-friendly (at least, they review gay and womens’ porn all mixed in with the regular straight-dude fare), and they highlight sexual culture as well as plain ol’ porn. So it’s a nice relief to know that even a super-porn-heavy website like Fleshbot can enjoy Matinée.

Ponante’s nicest quote:

“Bell, an American expat living in Amsterdam, would have been right at home with the ancient (1970s) pornographers like Gerard Damiano and Jackie Treehorn. Her ‘Matinée’ is a high-concept and beautifully shot interlude about feelings and the artist’s process.”

Thanks, guys!
