Silver Shoes world premiere at ICA London with London Short Film Festival

By Jennifer Lyon Bell

It's an honor to be invited for our World Premiere to screen at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) with a wonderful short film festival which has shown time and again that they champion artistic daring: The London Short Film Festival.

For the very first time, our movie Silver Shoes will screen in public —  at London’s esteemed Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA). We’re grateful to the excellent London Short Film Festival for creating this special event so that you can see all three short films that make up the Silver Shoes trilogy in their feature format. As you may know, although the short films can be watched individually, the full feature is even more interesting because you can decide for yourself whether or not the stories are connected.

Jennifer will be coming over from Amsterdam to host a Question and Answer session with the audience after the show. Please join us, and come chat with other Friends of Blue Artichoke Films after the screening at the ICA bar.

We just learned that the ICA is only licensed to show one sexually explicit screening per month according to the British regulations, and we are honored that Silver Shoes is their spicy movie of the month!

Tickets are available through the ICA website.

Jennifer interviewed on Susie Bright show

Matinée wins Best Short Film prize in Australia, despite ban

We were so sad to hear that Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification refused at the last minute to allow Matinée to publicly screen as planned. However, we are blown away to hear that the jury held a SECRET MEETING and awarded Matinée the jury prize anyway! Our huge thanks....
